Sir Patrick Stewart has sadly died. He passed away at his home in Los Angeles, on the 28th, as announced by his family last night. According to his family, Stewart had a brief battle with Alzheimer's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Born in Yorkshire, England; Steward is a decorated actor from the Royal Shakespeare Company to an illustrious career on Broadway, Hollywood, and television. We most fondly remember him for his role as Captain Jean Luc Picard, the main character of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," a monumental piece of science fiction and philosophy that shaped many of us here at TechPowerUp, which is why this feels like a personal loss. Although at the surface, TNG is a show about space exploration in the future, it teaches us that the final frontier is indeed the human condition, and we will never stop exploring it through our lives.
