Storylines heading to the KPL Grand Finals 2026 Knockout stage
The biggest surprise and even disappointment of the initial tournament phases is that the reigning KPL champions and 2025 EWC winners, AG Super Play (All Gamers), are out of the competition! They finished last in the Masters group and failed to defeat TOP Esports Armor in the play-in qualifier — while these opponents came from the lower-seeded Elite group.
On the other hand, the EWC 2026 champions Kuaishou Gaming dominated the Challenge stage, finishing with a 5–1 record.
JD Gaming had the same results in the Masters group, setting their tournament goals pretty clearly.
Two other playoff contenders advanced from the Elite group, too: EDward Gaming and LGD NBW. It’s interesting to follow their progress in the harsh playoff battles.
